SPECIAL TOUR
Shelter Box Project, Helston, Cornwall
We have arranged a private tour to give Rotarians the chance to see the headquarters of the Shelter Box Project at Helston in Cornwall. The two day tour will depart by coach on Thursday 18th June 2009 at 8.00am to arrive in Helston around lunchtime where the staff of Shelter Box will be only too pleased to discuss the project during lunch. The afternoon will be spent seeing how the Shelter Box project in the last seven years has helped 500,000 people in 42 countries and is now supported by Rotary Clubs worldwide.
We have our one night accommodation reserved for our stay in Helston at the magnificent Polurrian Hotel on the Lizard Peninsula which offers an Edwardian elegance with all modern comforts. The Rotary Club of Helston will be joining us for dinner so giving plenty of time for Rotary fellowship. The following morning we sadly have to leave the beautiful county of Cornwall and travel through the stunning county of Devon for our lunch stop at Exeter where you will have time to visit the magnificent Cathedral. We will be arriving back in Birmingham at approximately 6.00pm.
